Your favourite retro game now has a "Ms." version. In which ways is it improved?

Personality cults didn't really invade video games until the 2000s. Protagonist gender is usually a non-issue in most genres, presumably male and at most is a fun Metroid style surprise. "Save the princess" scenarios being a major exception I guess, and JRPGs and VNs. Lots of games have selectable female characters. I suppose Mario or Zelda would be the best to speculate on and there's already SMB2US where you can play as the princess and that god awful CDi title where you play as Zelda. Even King's Quest has a gender reversed installation already.
