I'm almost done with pic related (100% on everything except the last world) and have 100%ed 2 and 3 in the past few months. My terrible opinion, in case you're wondering, is 2>3>1, because I really like the "platforming with side challenges" of 2 but 3 takes it too far and is obviously rushed while 1 has good platforming but weird controls for someone who played only 2 and 3 as a kid (that initial D charging...)

Anyway, let's have a thread about 5th generation collectathons/3d platformers. I've been using Spyro to calm down when other multiplayer games get me angry, but I'm out of Spyro. I guess I should play the Banjo series next, but what do I go to after that?

spyro 1 has the character/story/level depth of a fucking pond, in my opinion. i know people prefer it but for me it just feels like an extended demo more than anything

Not only that but 3 also had drastically reduced classic platforming sections to make room for shit minigames and other character sections. The parts where you actually played Spyro in a classic Spyro context were much shorter than in the other games. How can anyone say 3 is the best in the series, let alone at the level of the other two is completely baffling to me. 2 is great but already showed signs of decline. 1 will forever remain the best.
