Hey did you guys ever play dark forces ii jedi knight? It was a great game. Very nosalgic running around those levels to this day. Always made me feel lonely though. It was really creepy playing online a few years back. The ghosts of star wars past

General lucasarts thread also

I remember that game. It felt like there was no one around ever. I would run for hours and run into puzzle after puzzle and no enemies.

The earlier levels really were empty, but the game did have quite a few enemies in later levels.

I loved this game. That mission where you had to escape from the falling space ship was awesome.

The original Dark Forces? No. But I remember loving Jedi Outcast...

>different lightsaber styles
>different stances
>those Force cubes that would give you powers

I did play the original Dark Forces, but only this summer when the Steam Summer Sale had the Star Wars pack on. I tried playing it as a kid but the Dionagas in the third level used to scare the shit out of me.

It's a great game, but I kinda lost track of the story after a while.

the entire jedi knight series was awesome. I hope disney or whatever brings it back.
>>357902
Yeah it was a scary game. Boba fett and the huge storm troopers scared the shit outta me too.

Online in jk df2 was awesome. It had a great community for how early it was. Mods and skins and what not.

Disney closed Lucas Arts...these games are long dead, which is something I'm sad to admit

>that feel when I remember being able to log onto the zone room for MoTS and find games with both the updated version of the skin pack but also the sbx3.0 mots mod in the same room

Outcast was hated and rejected by the community because the levels were very poor and the saber battling was garbage compared to the refinement df2 and mots had after fan mods.

>> No.359319

so with the release of JK and JA sources, do you think whomever still has the jedi and sith engine laying around might dig it up for the internet?

Do you remember lightsaber janitorial sweeping?

I do.

I was that guy.

is this a joke? there hasn't been a star wars game to date with better PvP saber combat.

Dark forces 2 is the best, (awesome cutscenes) but Outcast multiplayer was sick as well as JKA. the community really modded the game well and made the servers fun to hang out on for just dueling around and chatting.

Anyone play the secret level with luke in mysteries of the sith? was sick

i'd rather see the source for XvT and Tie Fighter

Yeah it's a joke. Outcast was decent as far as MP communities go. Not the best, just decent.
Academy was better though, those siege maps, I miss those days...
