I'll be the ideas guy.

Food based platformer. Enemies are animated food etc and the levels could be kitchen / farm etc. themed.

You're a chef trying to make the perfect burger.
Each world has 4 levels to obtain an ingredient from the boss at the end.
You start each world with a fixed 5 lives and you cannot regain lives.
The quality of the ingredient you obtain from the boss depends on your remaining lives for that world.
If you finish all worlds with good quality ingredients, your burger will look stunning.
If you finished all worlds with low lives, the end of the game has some horrible abomination you make.

NaN Crash - Possible to complete B-end boss with 0 life counter
A Class
Build: Reg19870425-12:03-Nightly
Rare Reproduction

On a playthrough in which the user chose Path B, Boss B's AI has him use a 1-frame blinking AoE attack in the end fight.
As it also hurts him for 1pt, It's possible to die in the same instant as the boss, yet be immediately caught in the cutscene before the Game Over screen can play.

The variable for selecting the ending sets to 0 as soon as the lives update, this is normally a fail state, but for the final boss the script calls the cutscene as soon as the battle finishes. The game will bypass the Game Over prompt and NaN crash as soon as the cutscene ends.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Loud the title
2. Progress until the end of World 4 naturally or via D-Menu
3. Choose Path B, through the factory
4. Progress until the end of World 8
5. Deplete lives to 1 using D-Menu just before Boss B initializes
6. Choose to fight Boss B rather than join him, when prompted
7. Get Boss B's health to 1pt and your own to 1pt
8. Run up to him after he's discharged meatballs to trigger the Sauce Burn AoE

Result:
With both the player and boss at 1pt, the AoE will kill both and the player's life counter will tick down to 0. The game will crash after the death cutscene due to 0

Expected:
Script could look for 'Less than or Equal to 1' as the condition to play the bad end.

Jesus it kills me to write 8 steps in a bug, I feel like an outsourcer.
Duncan, your script is shite, if you Not Seen this I'm going to come upstairs and fight you.

Player is able to expend all money, breaking the flow when unable to purchase the Key at Sesame Straits

A Class
Build: Reg19870425-12:03-Nightly
Rare Reproduction

Since money is a finite reward from scripted fights, a dedicated player is able to spend all money before they get the prompt to buy the Key at Sesame Straits. By design, if the player completes Missing Mayo, Salt-Packet Flats trader will keep an infinite stock of all items. The problem with this is that now a player can expend ALL money.

At this point they cannot buy the key (Money level goes into negative but purchase does not complete) and cannot make more money in order to progress the script.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Load the title
2. Progress until World 3
3. Visit the Trader in Salt-Packet Flats
4. Complete his Missing Mayo sidequest to turn his stock to infinite
5. Purchase Thick Shakes until currency is depleted (Note you can tick over into negative numbers, but purchases no longer work, this doesn't seem to come back around.)

Result:
The player hasn't enough money to continue the flow and is stuck at Sesame Straits.

Expected:
Duncan gets his act together and stops agreeing to bypass design with every idea Gordon slurs out over the phone at 2am.
I swear to christ Duncan, if we fail 2nd submission because of your yes-man pandering promotion tactics, I will fucking fight you.

Expected steps are an abomination, any good tester hates writing them.

What's it on, commodore? Bring your copy in tomorrow, I want a photo of the credit roll. Walter, find the guy who programmed it and offer to buy it for use in a compilation.

We have the WcBonalds pitch next week, and if we can get even half the amount they gave Signozis, we can just sit on this, add a couple more levels and submit it in a few months time.

This should give us some breathing room to work on my idea all summer with the burger cash.

I'm sure some British dickhead is going to make a web video about this ruthless sort of practice 25 years from now.

Hey kids, Bernie Stoler here. Just got hired as the new CEO to shape things up around here and let me tell you.... Shit. Is. Gonna. Change.

I know what the youth like and they don't like any of that ching-chong rpg nonsense that the slant eyes can't get enough of. Cut that junk out. I don't even want rpg elements.

Also any 2d games are out. I don't care how far into development they are. Can that garbage. Kids want 3d. They could care less how bad it looks or if it hurts their eyes they love that shit!

Well alright I have a sushi date in half an hour with Kojima so I gotta go. Now.... GET TO WORK.
