They never seemed to really expand upon her much, halfway through the game you have to find her to save bow, but afterwards nothing comes of it, she doesn't seem to realize it was her brother or care, and she is basically never heard from again despite how big of a fucking deal she was in the intro.

Why did they just drop her like that? I guess if you look at it from a minimalist standpoint, its possible she lost her memory like everyone else seemed too in the intro, and that quest to save bow just lets you know shes still around, but laregly unimportant, but still it seems like such a strange choice for her character.

It's just kind of sad. Maybe they had to cut a lot out? It always felt like Ryu was supposed to have his own arc the same way the other characters did but it just never came to be. Barubary, Patty, his father, they all seem to have been displaced despite shaping up to be major characters in the intro and end up just being awkwardly sprinkled throughout the game because of that.

There was going to be a BoF2 fangame that had Patty be a playable character and I'm assuming flesh out Ryu and Yua's reunion but like all fangames, after looking pretty promising, it just disappeared without notice.
