What is the definitive version of this game? TurboGrafx-CD and FM Towns versions look better than the Amiga original.

>> No.3548554

C64.
Still looks good, amazing soundtrack and most importantly, it plays better.

>> No.3548559

The one you played as a kid is the only true answer when it comes to /vr/ "definitive versions"

>> No.3548567

>look better
Looking better has nothing to do with being a definitive version. Holy shit, kids, please get off this "graphics is everything" bullshit, even /vr/ is corrupted with it.

Amiga IS the definitive version, end of fucking story. It was made for the Amiga and plays the best on it.

Someone call Australia-kun's shrink. He's loose again.

Keep crying over your graphics, kids. They will never make a game better, no matter how much you wish it to be true.

>> No.3548602

What I find ironic is that you keep crying about "style over substance" and that's precisely what Shadow of the Beat and the entire Amiga catalogue has to offer. "Good" graphics (for the time, anyway), and absolute dogshit graphics.

I'm seriously happy I'm not you. You're the bouffon of /vr/, Australia.

Thanks to you, discussing Amiga on this board has become impossible.
Thank you, autistic fuck.

FM Towns and Turbo had better arranged music

There are plenty worth discussing, they're just not the absolute pinnacle of their generation like so many Amiga purists say they are.

Rubbish game. Just play something else.

Correct.

I go with the TGCD version. The hit detection works properly in that one, so it's a bit easier to play than the Amiga version. The Amiga version sounds slightly better, they both look about the same.

The version with good gameplay.
Goodluck finding that.

Do you mean "gameplay"?

I'm sure he did. Amiga games are almost all glorified tech demos that look great but are mediocre games at best.
