Good platformers that aren't popular but should be. Pic related is Wolfchild, a great game released on many consoles but rarely talked about:

Because it's a euro home computer game. Same case for first and second samurai on snes and genesis.

I didn't see the Plok thread actually. But it pops up on /vr/ quite a bit as being the best underrated platformer. Since it's not loved by normies it is highly praised here even though it shouldn't be.

Mr Nutz is a good one too. It kinda reminds me of Rareware's games.

>>3535865
I tried to like this game but I can't. Imo, Socket's level design wasn't very good.

Incantation's pretty good for a Titus game, I guess.

It's hard naming platformers that are obscure, but good. All the good ones were either best-sellers when they came out or became famous after the fact (like Dynamite Headdy). So we end up posting about bottom of the barrel shit like >>3534939 and >>3535984

A lot of your average Megadrive games look like home computer games to me. Even the "stock" font (or whatever). The controller ports only add to that illusion.

Armadillo on Famicom is pretty fun and has some cool mechanics.

Only problem is that it suffers from the same flaw as that Avengers NES game : it shamelessly re-uses levels.
