PSO is an amazing journey. I've played both online and splitscreen, both are great fun. The game isn't that deep, but it is rewarding and the loot is varied and interesting.

PSO Ep II sucks though.

Best classes for multiplayer were HUcast and RAcast with support from any force. Best solo class was RAmarl. FOmar was, like every mar, okay at everything but not very good at anything.

I love this game to death. Across all its iterations I've probably played it for thousands of hours. Its probably my favorite game of all time.

PSU I never got online with, but the game itself was alright I suppose. Played PSO 2 for a bit and that was enjoyable. Still didn't hold a candle to PSO though.
