You said it, Virgin's game isn't even hard to begin with. Aladdin is "hard" for the same reasons games like Cool Spot and EWJ are hard: wonky hitbox detection and non-linear level design that doesn't even add a challenge, just a slog to go through. They're pretty to look at though.

Hold up, Genesis actually has 10 audio channels (yes, 4 of those are recycled from Master System, but they still work).

Also the resolution thing is highly misleading because using anything other than 256x224 on SNES absolutely wrecks your color limit (we're talking 16 colors) if you use more than 1 layer.

Genesis will always give you at least 64 colors no matter what you do.
