Puzzle fighter was better PvP against a human. You could use Dan and fight with an enormous handycap and it was extra meaningful when you beat them.

Magical drop 3 was 100% comfy puzzle solving in adventure or challenge mode.

If you're good Dan is actually really powerful. He only drops red, but does a ton of damage. If you're good at combo building you can wipe your opponent with a couple good chains. It seems super weird, but Dan is one of the easiest people to beat Akuma with.

On the go I'd say Tetris DX for the Game Boy Color. The controls are better and allow faster gameplay than the classic Game Boy version. If you have the Super Nintendo Tetris 3 is a good choice. And the best ones are the Tetris Grand Master games, they're the ultimate Tetris experience.
