Beat the sonic trilogy recently
Heres my thoughts
Sonic 1
Maybe the most difficult to just sit down and beat, labyrinth zone and brain scum zones are a bitch
Less chances to get emeralds and no super sonic. Love the music tho
Sonic 2
I think people give this one credit for being the best since its easiest to beast your way thru. U can get emeralds early once you know the bonus stage and shit all over the game as super sonic. Way less bs than sonic 3, probably the easiest game
3 and knuckles
Maybe drags on for too long
Some levels are annoying af
Kinda cool that tails can fly and u can play as knuckles
I hate blue sphere
Having saves make it pretty easy
The whole series is aesthetic af tho and good music

Seriously? Blue Sphere is by far my favourite form of the special stage. Play CD next and find out how much worse it could be.

>cool 3d stage done right with actual challenge
>vs a pain in the ass ugly 3d ball with horrible laggy controls
For fuck's sake, /vr/, what the fuck is with shitting on Sonic CD?

I actually really like Sonic CD, I'm not part of that recent wave, I was referring specifically to the special stages. There's this disconnect between movement and the UFO sprites that just ruin it for me, it's tricky to tell their exact proximity to you until you've already mistimed a jump. That and water and traps everywhere in the later stages. I don't think they're badly designed, they just don't control very well compared to the the four directions you can move in Blue Sphere.

That's exactly what I was talking about. There's no disconnect for me, I can tell exactly where they are, and the challenge is to maneuver into position to jump into them. Meanwhile Sonic 3's special stage is a laggy mess not worth playing.

>he thinks Blue Sphere lags
The game works on a grid you idiot. That's why Sonic seems to wait - you're pressing turn right after passing a vertice.
