I remember a friend of mine giving his Sega Smash Pack 2 disk to me because he got bored of playing Sonic 2 on it, I loaded this up and he immediately wanted it back

Fantastic game, very unforgiving though. Still haven't beaten it. Tips?

KC is the perfect example of old school Die n' Try. I got no real tip, excepted learning the paths. And still... the game's so huge, it's impossible to know each level...

Mega Drive and yes it was a good one. I played it at my friend's house and borrowed it occasionally. Some blatant Mario influences but almost every platformer had those.

Start + A lets you "spend" your gems for a special effect. (Whenever you hear that random *twang* in the background is when you know you have enough.)

The best one is when you have the knight powerup. For 50 gems you get an additional hit point that you keep until you die.

I damn love this game. It's huge, challenging, full of routes and all the good stuff.
My only complaint is that getting lots of items from blocks is a little bit slow. And that's a damn minor complaint.

Seriously. I think it was in the manual, but I got this game used as a kid.

I triggered it on accident a few times but never knew why it happened.
It's one of those things than makes this game feel bottomless, like there's always more to discover.

This is included on the genesis game collection on PSP, and I fucking rage quitted for a while. On like level 2.
There was a part where I couldn't go any further, and by accident I found out while playing it againit that it turns out one of the costumes has a wall climbing ability I had zero awareness of whatsoever.

Pretty fun game though.

The only way I ever beat this was using a game genie. Been thinking of playing again but using save states.

I got pretty far on my own as a kid...but never quite beat it entirely.

Great game though for sure! One of my favorites. Thanks OP, might end up playing it again.
