I still use ZSNES because it is easy to use, I already have it set up, it has huge nostalgia factor (I was using it even back in the late 90s, on DOS machines - ran fine in 256 colour mode on a Pentium 100, even if it was missing transparency effects). And most importantly because even though it has lower compatibility, it plays fine all the SNES games that I care to play... ones that don't have better ports on other consoles/handhelds, anyway.

Higan/bsnes has absurd prerequirements, not just in resource usage but in things like requiring you to set up a rom library, which I could never card enough to figure out. On ZSNES I can just go to open -> pick rom file, and play. Sure it doesn't have accurate shadows under the helicopter in some shooting game I've never ever heard of, but I won't ever want to play that game anyway, so...

Its the only filter who doesnt work correctly (sometimes everything goes black and if you keep playing it starts to correct itself but in a poor way)
