How is sega Saturn emulation these days?

I have a huge PAL sega Saturn collection but am thinking of selling the games because I hate borders and 50hz gameplay. My PAL sega Saturn is also having issues reading the cd-Roms which is another reason why I want to move to emulation

I'm thinking if emulation is perfect I can sell my games and make a good profit. With some spare cash I could buy a Japanese Saturn and only a few games I really love for the authentic feel.

What should I do?

So looks like I might as well keep my collection for now.

Hopefully emulation is perfected soon. I want to get rid of my collection to save space and just play games on my PC and not have to worry about crt tvs etc

Yabuase is your best bet if you want a simple easy-to-use emulator but it won't be perfect sadly.

I hear SSF is the best though but i'm too retarded to figure out how to get it to work so if you want to try it yourself be my guest.

SSF is old and busted. is the new hotness.
No more messing with virtual drives, just load up those cue sheets.

I might try yabuse and see how that goes.
Yeah I hated messing around with virtual drives

It's been find for about a decade. SSF will play your PAL games. There's also mednafen but which is great but it doesn't play PAL.

No it's awful.

Don't bother.

Not sure if the appropriate thread but where can I get the Baroque ISO for the Playstation? I know the Saturn one is easy to get, but I don't feel like setting up the emulator atm.

Emulation won't be perfected anytime soon. We have PSX emulation since 2000, and it never reached "perfection".
Just set your own threshold of playability (no flickering, no desync) and start from there.

Even NES emulation isn't perfect (because of mappers). SNES' is, but that's because byuu is an autist (of the good kind)

I think the wikis in the sticky are back up.

Not sure if you can do much about the 50hz on Saturn but the borders are an easy fix, m8. Look the the aspect ratio (might be labeled ARC on an old CRT) button on your remote and set it to zoom. Stretches to NTSC style.
