Armed Police Batrider is still one of the greatest games I've played.

Yes, I know Garegga is technically the better Yagawa game, but I love the style and all the tons of boss fights and secrets that Batrider has. Every time I play it I end up noticing something new.

Raystorm

I thought the music was hot shit bank in the day and it was fun to me. Music is meh to me now but I still play it once in a while on my PSP. I definitely need to get a bigger screen to play shooters like this one.

putting effort into videogames is stupid, they are meant for recreation. if you want to put effort into games, become a programmer or translator instead of grinding away at a game for hundreds of hours for nothing at all

It's more like one or two dozens, and it's not for nothing, it's for fun which is what games are for 2bh

Superb choice, my friend.
G-Darius is easily the most underrated 5th gen shooter and I can't help but feel that its shoddy PSX port is to blame.

The Taito Legends 2 version irons out all the slowdown and provides an insane Raiden+DoDonPachi-esque shot pattern mix that more people should experience.

Giares because the upgrade system is fun to play with, the music fucking rocks and the bosses are fun. Also this stage is like Castlevania: The Shmup which I dig.

meant to post this last night, but was playing it :P Bought it at the beginning of summer and I'm close to a 1CC (on 5-stage), maybe my first! But something about the way it feels I just love. Like Garegga and DOJ have this feeling of purity of the genre to me, but Batrider seems to have fun with it and I love that about it.

I like Yagawa games but they are anything but "pure", for that you should try Toaplan games.

Those are their most "modern" titles, good games but you shouldn't forget the older games like Truxton, Twin Cobra, Fire Shark, Out Zone etc.

>> No.3452801

>>3452789

Hellfire is also really good and a lot more deserving of attention than Meme Wing. The Genesis version specifically since it's far better than the arcade version.

Also, the US versions of Fire Shark is for chumps. Get the JP 1P version called 鮫!!鮫!!鮫! if you want to experience Toaplan at its most savage.
