Is there a market for these yellowing but working consoles?

I recently got a job restoring and repairing japanese retro consoles and vidya, the clean and white SFC consoles sell immediately but these yellow ones just sit forever. We have too many and the owner is considering trashing them for parts.

I've seen some painted console posts, other mods, people taking the insides out for other projects but it seems like everyone just wants the new ones. They pay $60 but these yellowed ones are like $20 and work just as well with non-pudgy caps. I don't want them in the trash but nobody seems to want them, wtf to do anons?

I never peroxided mine because I don't want to get rid of the sweet orca stickers I put on it when I was 8, it's got patina

I just recently bought a yellow as fuck one on Craigslist for $60 then sold it on eBay for like $120. Now a cleaned and retrobrited one popped up on cl from this dude who actually sells a ton of retro stuff for $60. It's all clean and shiny and the guy had it posted for like 100 and lowered it. Did the market take a dip in these? I'm not seeing many selling for over 70 on fleabay except with rare or lots of games.

Just use a diluted hydrogen peroxide solution instead of overpaying for retrobite.

I don't know the exact solution. But since you are a "software guy" I'm sure you might know about using Google. Oh and whitening the consoles will make them more brittle anyways. But it's not your money they're paying.

Why aren't you shilling yet? You're not gonna sell any units unless you tell us where to go. I'm requesting information, it won't be rule-breaking unsolicited spam, get shilling already.

>> No.3435203

You are selling them for a decent price, right? I find it hard to belive no one would buy them if the price is fair.
