I have both of those
HOLY FUCKING DICKS
they really do suck
oh my god
the shape is bad, the black one is just plain unweildly, and the buttons on the wing-grip one blow cocks.
I've got 2 wing grips, and 2 of the black ones (one of them is green)

then I've got 3 of pic related's (red, purple, and blue), and they are actually pretty good. In my opinion, the rubberized thumb stick put them miles ahead of the original controllers, and the buttons were actually pretty good. Most of the time though, I prefer my good ol' first-controller-i-ever-had. It just feels the best in my hand, has an abnormally loose thumb stick compared to my other 5-someodd original controllers, and it has gunk and grime in all the crevices that show how much I loved it.

It's meant for racing games. Twisting it would control the accelerator; the more you turned it, the faster you would go. It sounds clumsy but offered amazing accuracy when it came to fine-tuning controlling how fast you were going.

My guess:

>WASD and mouse buttons mapped to buttons
>Mouse movement controlled by twisting and pushing on the thing you hold

The only time I ever see that being fun is in a game where your character sits down and operates a turret or something.

I actually tried using some old flight stick I found at a Goodwill for most of what I had. I actually fond it somewhat useful for FPS as long as it isn't aiming. Use the joystick for movement and weapon switching, along with other stuff like sprinting, and the mouse for aiming. It felt like I was in an electric wheelchair or something.

The most interesting application of it I tried was DMC4, where playing with one hand was pretty cuhrazy. There were enough buttons on the thing for any average game, really.

Unfortunately it wore down and now for some reason it's off-centered to the right. It was already probably 10 years old by the time I bought it. Sucks.

It's just copper wire, not primacord.

>> No.368449

>>368419
it's not that hard, really. get a donor controller for the cable and just solder the cables to the pins in the controller, i don't have the pinout so i can't tell you which cable goes where, but i'm pretty sure you can find it online

>> No.368453

or buy another controller and use the cable on yours and the other controller as decoration

It's actually really comfortable if you hold the D-pad side

Unfortunately there were very few 2D games on N64

It's good because if you throw your controller in rage, it would come right back to you.

is anyone else saving the pics of the controllers just because?

in all honesty, i wouldn't mind having all of them just for pure obcessive compulsive-ness
