Did any of you guys have Sega Channel? I always wanted it as a kid but could never convince my parents to get it.

my cousins had it. their parents (my aunt and uncle) spoke very well of it, and were very disappointed when it was discontinued

Had it and it was really nice, but you couldn't save progress if you turned it off. Loading times were bad but the variety definitely made up for it.

I wonder what could be done with the device these days, surely having a cable-in jack to the Genesis opens up some options. I'd settle for system linking two consoles in the same room over some sort of primitive LAN if it were possible, just to have it work.
Doing the same thing with a couple PS2s, never had online back in the day

It was really neat. There was a primal rage contest at one point. I just spammed blizzards air slam to get through the game. My sister had to call the 800 number because I was so nervous after finishing it
