Has anyone here actually beat this game? I don't think I ever even passed a single dream level.

I remember taking a serious crack at the Genesis version on an emulator in a reconquista against long buried childhood frustration and couldn't do it. It really is incredible that the three platformer levels manage to be bad and unfair in totally different ways

I remember some anon who said he beat this, and that the indiana jones level requires absurd amounts of memorization and trial and error.

Personally I only rented this game, and I remember passing some of the levels, which were easy, like the flying bartman stage, or the one you pop-up viruses and bacterias, but then bartzilla or indiana jones stage fucked me up badly.

I could and still can beat most of the levels. The cartoon level is hard, but fair and a lot of fun. The flying level is the easiest one. The godzilla level is also easy. The blood circulation level is ok.
The hardest and most unfair, by far is the indiana jones level. I mean, you're supposed to take it slow and memorize the path, but then a devil appears or you get shot in the head by maggie.
I think the most annoying part is the overworld, where you have to catch zzzs and you can't even skate for 2 seconds without hitting a crack in the road. (but when you get lucky you can catch 20 zs in a good run).

How are you supposed to beat it? By memorizing it and trying again.

by the way, with save states this game is easy! yeah, I have a physical copy, just saying it. With infinite tries anyone can do it.

I remember thinking I had gotten near the end of the dinosaur level when my family rented it for the genesis in the 90s

then I watched a video earlier this year and realized I wasn't even close

my family had in the preceding years also rented bart's nightmare and bart vs the space aliens

so we knew virtual bart would be shit, but also sometimes you have to pick something and that's what the rental store has.
