Why are people so into N64 right now when it's objectively the worst Nintendo home console of all time?

Can you even think of five 10/10 games for the system?

Shit, I grew up with this system and even I think it's ass.

N64 didn't have a lot of games, but the notable ones it did have were fantastic. Honestly, its pretty much the Rare FPSes that I don't think aged well.

Not even a tourneyfag, but Smash 64 is perfect. I admit it's better with friends, though. But I remember having tons of fun playing on single player too, unlocking Ness and Falcon was a bitch, but well rewarded.

I don't "collect" because I don't care about complete sets, I'd never do any complete set for any console, except maybe Virtual Boy where there's only 1 or 2 actually bad games in a total of 20.
For N64 I have around 35 games, I think, and all of them I enjoy or at least find something positive enough to keep it. I sold games that I somehow got but never liked, such as Mission:Impossible or Road Rash (and mind you, some people do like those games, they just aren't my cup of tea).
And there's still at least 15 or 20 other games I'd like, if not more counting the japanese catalogue.

We all know N64's catalogue is not extensive, but there's more good stuff than you'd expect.

I liked it more than the Gamecube. The GC had a lot of great games, but the N64 had more overall. The wii is objectively the worst home Nintendo console because it had the poorest library. Thank god the wiiU was better.

Yeah I liked Smash better when it was a fun party game and didn't evolve into torny autism all based on maneuvers and exploits that the game wasn't even originally meant to be played around. The first Smash game worked so well because it was simple. You pick Mario or Link, then you each try to punch each other. It was stupid, and that's why it was fun. The moment it became Foxes DBZ-ing all over the screen, I lost interest.
