Opinions on postal 1?

>> No.3382012

Once you get the hang of the busted-ass controls, it's pretty amusing.

Watched the ending on YouTube, it was excellent.

Original is kinda unique. Marching band scene ftw.

Better than 2

It's kind of a shit game, but I enjoy it for some reason. The controls and enemy AI can be quite frustrating at times, but learning to overcome them is a satisfying experience. I kind of wish the Steam version (not to be confused with Redux) came with a level editor.

It's interesting in terms of how you hear the people scream their heads off and have them crawl with their blood sprawling on the floor. I can't take of many other games as morbid as this in style (I personally don't thing it's as morbid as it can be) and maybe Manhunt. Gameplay is boring but everything else is good

So edgy it'll make your eyes bleed

Gameplay is boring, and gets old fast once you get over the "I'm a mass murder" gimmick. But I fucking love the game's style and atmosphere. The journal entries are very spooky.

What a coincidence, I was just finished re-installing it and I wanted to make a thread about postal.

Anyways, postal 1 is fun. The controls are ass, but that doesn't take away from the excitement. I wish the sequel was /vr/ so it could be talked about, that was a lot of fun too.

What was wrong with postal 2? It's an edgy mass murder simulator like postal 1, but doesn't take itself seriously this time. Postal 2 not taking itself seriously and its dark humor is part of the charm that makes it better than postal 2.

*that makes it better than postal 1.

Is that screen from Paradise Lost? I know they frequently update Postal 2, but damn they seem to be including more than just bug fixes. I should replay Paradise Lost, I played it through once when it was released.

they added in an easter egg based on the old shopping mall sign "opening june 2016"

I couldn't find it back in the day. I was a big fan of 2, but I like ignorant low quality bullshit. I found it really humorous, but that stuff wasn't as commonplace at that time. If I played it for the first time ever today I probably would have enjoyed it as much.

Probably wouldn't have*

I mean, you can go on /b/ and find several people just as clever as the writers
