Probably Super Mario RPG.

I know the location of every invisible block, all the hidden weapons, secret areas, easter eggs, ect.

At some point when I was a kid, I was stuck living in the middle of butt fuck nowhere with only an SNES, Super Mario RPG and a few other games to entertain me for a good long year, and SMRPG was the one I played the most.

I don't think it's THE game I've played the most, but it's up there, and it's definitely the one I remember the most, while other games I still get a little lost or I don't quite remember where some of the secrets are.

Probably UT99.

My skills have likely faded over the decade since I last played it seriously, but I'm certain I could still run through any of the standard DM maps backwards for five minutes and almost never back into a wall.

Sonic 2 was my jam, and I can always pick it back up and get right into it. Same for Need For Speed III: Hot Pursuit (PC obvs, cause PS1 sucks dick).

Loved F-Zero X, Mario Kart 64 and The Castlevania Adventure (of all things, but it was my go to GB game).

im not very good at arcade shooters, never really been a fan of them, but ill play them sure.

but this game.... it was my gateway drug into the genre when I was 8yrs old because some kids mother my mom knew wants the new playstation so she sold my mom his genesis (that I ultimately got for xmas that yr) and this was one of 3 games.

long story short, I know every enemy placement, I can dodge it all like a true asian master race, and sing along while doing it.

>> No.3351585

If we /vr/ then I'd say Metal Gear Solid. I pretty much have every guard route and item location in my brain. Still... the REX battle makes me scratch my head sometimes, to this day it somehow manages to be a bit unpredictable - even with the 'go under it' tactic.

I'm even more invested with Snake Eater though, I could probably write most of the script out of my head if I had to.

About a month ago I was playing sonic 2 at a friends house and he was shocked that I stopped playing when I lost my first set of lives.

I had like ten continues and he was like "wtf man you still had lives"

I tried to explain it's not worth beating a game I've beaten several times without trying to do it in one credit and it seemed to blow his brain.

>> No.3351610

Sonic 2, Pokemon Blue, UT99 and Metal Gear Solid especially.

This one by far. Though I obviously don't know everything there is to know, I think I might know practically everything there is to know about this game conventionally, like best paths to take on the overworld to reach the end, where all the weapon spawns are and all the places where you can rescue your captured turtles, as well as most effective enemy and boss strategies. I even memorized the damage table for each enemy in relation to each turtle and each sub weapon, so I know exactly how many hits it will take for each turtle to kill said enemy, both with and without damage boost, and the same goes for sub weapons.

Other than that I know how to utilize some useful glitches as well such as how to manipulate the currents in the dam to not activate until the end, making that level much, much easier (I managed to beat it a few times without taking damage thanks to that). The only thing I've not really done with this game is speedrun it, which is extremely optimized and not something I consider worth the effort in the end.

>> No.3351703

I speedran DKR for a couple years so I know that game inside-out. That game whooped my ass when I was a kid, and now I can get 100% completion in about 2 hours. It's a nice feeling.

Well i was maybe 8 or 9 and that uncle just finished high school. It was a competition between several family members. The console in our family was at our grandmas house and we'd go there every Sunday for spaghetti dinner.3 of my uncles, 2 of my cousins. We'd take turns at varying points in time to try to get the fastest time. Though i never came close. Later I'd kick his ass in games like warcraft and command and conquer.

I think I know every spot in Ristar where you can headbutt something to make goodies fall from the sky.
I pretty much have Sonic 1 memorized to the point where I could replay it in my imagination.
Also, when I replayed Sparkster for Genesis a few months ago I was surprised to find I still knew where every sword was (the ones you collect to get gold armor), the boss patterns, and when to make your mech bump or punch in the running mech level. I think if I replay Animaniacs or Cool Spot in Genesis I will have a similar experience.
I didn't get out much between ages 9 and 12.
