Call me a scrub, noob, whatever, but I'm having tremendous difficulty with keeping control of this fat italian tosser.

I've looked up various youtube gameplay videos and they seem to have him move about far less after input stops.

Say i'm accelerating for five blocks from a dead stop. when I release the button it seems to take almost another 2 blocks before he comes to a stop.
Is it just a case of me needing to get good or is it something with me emulator?

that's exactly what it is. you're bad. the game has great controls, there's just a skill curve, and this is a good thing.

You're running FCEUX (an emulator known for its input lag) windowed on Windows 10 (adding even more lag thanks to compositing messing up sync), polack. No wonder you're having trouble.

Use Nestopia in RetroArch in exclusive full screen, or at least something not FCEU in exclusive full screen.

to people shitting on OP: If they genuinely play the game for the first time, wouldn't that confusion make sense? I don't recall many platformers with such an excessive momentum, and it does require a particular playstyle. Once it clicks, it becomes second nature, but until it does, it's odd. Odd behavior on an emulator wouldn't be a first. So why do we attack new players learning old games?

This is some beautiful hand-crafted bait. It's clear you've put a lot of effort into it.

Even the little details are filled with bait.

Good work OP.

Every time I look I notice another new piece of bait... I just noticed the Codeblocks install.

A+.
