Adventure

Smoother physics, larger levels and smaller character sprites, extra details, and a better aesthetic makes adventure the superior version by far. NiDL isn't terrible it just was dragged down by the limitations of the gba, the decision to make character sprites larger and levels smaller was necessary but still sucks.

Such a fantastic game, one of the few I could always pick up and feel satisfied with. This interview about it is a great read, website is great too.

That's a tough call, I love both. It'd be neat if someone hacked NiDL to use cleaned up and improved KA sprites though. I like the newer graphics but the originals are a lot more charming.

I tried the original at virtuanes but it seems to have emulation issues. Should I try a different emulator or VirtualConsole version at Wii?

Oh, right. It was one of the few GBA games I was able to afford back in the day. He pretty much played like Kirby with the sword power up only with better dashing, or cooler animations or something

The physics of adventure are smoother though. The best example I can give is running on a slope and build momentum. In the gba version kirby has less weight to him.
