at least the treasure chest is actually attainable...unlike the damn 100 super jumps...anyway speaking of hidden stuff, i recently learned about culex, 20 years yet i never opened that door in monstro town...

Funny thing, back when I was a kid I had my mom email the NP AOL helpline just to find a way into Belome's Temple because I couldn't get to it even with the player's guide. While waiting for the reply, I finally do the whirlpools correctly and get into the temple. Now when the reply from the magazine came in it was not on how to get into the temple, it was how to get into the treasure room in the back of the temple that I already looted.

At least it's near the start of the game, so you can just start over if you missed it. Or just use the last save point.

It's more about finding the chest (for the side quest) than collecting its item.

Maybe it was designed intentionally to force children to confront their OCD perfectionism at a young age and make them realize that even if they never wanted to compromise on that point, they would likely have to compromise somewhere else, like having to start the game over.

Besides, I actually enjoy replaying the games I like, even RPGs, because being able to see how different it would be if you made more efficient choices or explored more thoroughly is interesting.

What the fuck is everyone talking about?

You can still open the chest later in the game. You jump on one of the Toads. Has no one in this thread even played this game?

The Frog Coin is not missable.

No other toad gets close to it. The only other opportunity would be to jump on one of the spring guys when Mack takes over the castle, but that isn't much later into the game.

Bad b8.

The only time you can get it is when toad walks in front of you down the hallway

What the fuck are you guys talking about? I've gotten that chest later in the game several times. One of the Toads randomly walks near it, and you jump up there. It's not missable.

Look at your picture. Now OPs. You aren't even jumping in the right spot.

The center of the hallway is the right spot.
You're supposed to jump from there to the "ceiling" of the room, but it's not possible after the first visit.

You guys are being dumb. One day you'll test the theory and realize how wrong you all were.

Miss the surprise box at the beginning, and get the Signal Ring later in the game. Bring it back to the Mushroom Kingdom and it will buzz inside the castle, implying there's a hidden chest.

It's difficult to get, because the Toads move at random underneath it. But you can still get it. Anyone who says otherwise is wrong.

Let me ask you this. Why would missing the treasure box suddenly cause it to disappear from inside the room? It would still be there. The tricky part would be finding another way up there. Which occurs later in the game when more Toads appear inside the room.

Use this save file and get that box then upload it back. If the items and stats match I'll know that you're not cheating.

Now go ahead and do it. You can't.

That save file is not working on my SNES9X.

Every save in my folder has an SRM file, a 000 file, and an OOPS file. Maybe I need those files, as well, for it to work. I'm not sure; emulation isn't really my thing.

>> No.3318308

Those files are not necessary, but I'll give you a quick save anyway.
