There are different styles of shoot-'em-ups, my friend. Ikaruga might be arguable the "best" vertical bullet hell or some other sub-genre, but it's by no means the :magnum opus" of the totality of shoot-'em-ups in existence.

Have some respect for non-bullet hells, at least. We're talking about some very distinct divergences in genre here.

Also, GC is not retro. Not even the arcade version of this game is retro.
