Did anyone else pronounce Sega as "Seaga" before they heard it in-game?

>> No.3296057

>>3296052
No.

>> No.3296069

I think Italians did, because "Sega" in italian means masturbation, and australians, because they're retards.

>> No.3296075

No because I was privy to this gem of an ad.

I never heard it in game as "seaga" get your fucking hearing checked. I pronounced it more like "sayga" because of game voices until the "extreme" commercials got me saying "seGA"

American English phonetics would dictate that Sega is pronounced Sayga.

I mean, do you say Seat as Sea-at?

Hello sir, welcome to Outback Steakhouse...

Please take a sea-at...

What?

a SEA-AT!!!

Are you... Are you vomiting?

SEA-AT!!!

italian here. yeah, we called it sega as in "say-ga"

we use the word "sega" for pic related, which is also used to indicate the act of masturbation

also, fun fact, in the first half of the 90's, most of the tv vidya commercials we used to get were sega. most kids didn't even know what a "nintendo" was. a lot of popular italian comedians and footbal players used to be sega's testimonials

Why are Italians so hilarious? One time I came back to my apartment to find one I'd never met before using my shower. He was a coworker (Boss's nephew or some shit running from some trouble back East) of a friend of mine who had access to my place. Apparently the guy was sure I wouldn't mind. I didn't really but it was weird. I also had a Russian guy who I knew because he worked at a neighboring store just walk in and into my bedroom while I was sleeping. Fucking boundaries, People!

I wish australia-kun was just an imaginary person.

Though I don't buy that's he's an oldfag like others believe. No way an old person would shitpost this much and post reaction pics from fucking Watamote. I just think he's a youngfag from /v/ who watched too many youtube and got his brain rotten with console wars he's never lived himself. I could be wrong, but I seriously can't picture anyone older than 20 shitposting that much.

I never pronounced it either Sea- or Sey-. I always said Seh- because that's what I always heard it as. Still to this day, I do not hear that "y" sound in the Sonic intro.
