So have anyone ever played Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets on the PS1?

It improved on everything from the first game and is overall better

Worst version of CoS
Even for GBA is better.

GBC, sorry

Nah mate you aren't wrong, the GBA one is better than the PSX garbage too. Hell, the PC version got it beat.

I played both. They are pretty hilarious games, so they kept me entertained, but I'm pretty sure that wasn't the main intention of the devs.

The first two tie-ins were developed by Argonaut (Star Fox, Croc) so they're pretty good games. That fucking minecraft/tunnel shit in the first one though, goddamn.

I played it on the PC, thought it was alright, never finished it

>even

You're implying the GBC version wasn't the best

I absolutely adore finding Cards in all of the Harry Potter games. Especially in the PC games, 1-3 are just great at having them as collectibles.

I used to be a fan of these games. I think I still have a copy of Sorcerers Stone somewhere.

I remember having trouble with the tunnel part as well.

I remember I was like 10 years old on Christmas and this game was the only thing I asked for. I played through the first one and was hyped as fuck for CoS. My dad pulled a "Christmas Story" on me by hiding it and pointing it out after all my presents were opened. Fun times.

I had a french teacher in HS who would regularly phone it in when it came to lessonplans so we'd go down to the computer lab and play this exact game (in French) on the PCs

I remember it being pretty fun for a Harry Potter game

Threadly reminder that every single one of these is completely different and all worth playing.

I had both ps1 titles. The biggest improvement was probably that you could replay all the challenges to get the wizard cards, like the flying car scene and such. Also the duels were pretty fun as a kid I guess, and the second game didn't have the Gringots coin collecting bullshit. Otherwise they we're pretty much the same game with just different scenarios.

Both are the Zelda of PlayStation. I love CoS more because it feels like a school with grades and shit.

>> No.3295612

I replay both of the PS1 titles once a year around Christmas because they just hold that certain place in my Nostalgia. Fuck the Peacock and the Gringotts Minecart.

OP you just filled me with nostalgia and rage at the same time.
I remember i used to spend to many hours at this game i actually completed it 100% and opened that misterious door inside the gryffindor's room... what was inside of it?
A FUCKING ART BOOK.

I would have happily bought an entire series of PS1 titles.
