It was this person's choice to do that "work," on shitty reproduction cartridges that are barely worth 50 bucks IF they are a game that's in high demand, like the Legend of Zelda and F-Zero 2 repros for SNES off Satellaview.

Star Fox 2 maybe, with FX chip, is about 75 dollars.

I wouldn't pay 50 fucking dollars for pokemon flashed onto a SNES cart with a 2 dollar sticker and shitty paint on the cartridge.

When you have a market filled with newbies who don't know jack shit about what they're doing, it can be pretty easy to make a quick buck. Skyrocketing prices and hack jobs like this are a result of uneducated buyers desperately buying things without doing research.

Wait. Judging from this, he didn't even make them. He just paid people to make box art, paid other people to print the boxes and labels, and then...what? His 'work' was to glue the labels onto the carts?

Anyways he could very easily get sued by Nintendo for using their official art and selling it for that much. Maybe someone should lodge a complaint, although I think he might only be able to get taken to court if someone actually buys the carts.

I assume the price is what it is because of the developer disc. While neat, the fact that it is dated two weeks before what gamefaqs lists as release date means it is almost definitely just the final game and maked it harder to confirm as legit. And yeah, CD-R based protos typically aren't going to be worth too much unless it is a very popular game, if there is some indication that it is a pre-final version, or if it comes on a propietary disc (like Sega MEGA CD-Rs or Saturn CD-Rs or Dreamcast GD-Rs).

Aaaaanyway; Here's photos of my stuff--

There's stories behind all of these sets if anyone cares. Again, Laney Flea, Oakland is responsible for most of it. Good stuff is in piles, never on tables.

And of course, the greatest videogame flea haul EVER: https://www.flickr.com/photos/vonguard/sets/72157604647023310/

Not sure what protos are in those shots. Probably none. I have GTA 2 for PC, though, and Rockstar rules. It has a picture of old women in bathing suits on the CD and sleeve. Other protos include Junction for Genesis, a ton of PC protos (hand labeled cds) and a handful of handheld protos, blank carts with hand written labels.
