Anybody ever play this? As a KISS fan I wanted it but didn't own a Dreamcast or PC at the time

If you are a KISS fan you will like it, not because I know it is good or I have played it but because you clearly have shit taste to begin with.

It's a serious sam clone with KISS characters as protagonists. Mediocre overall which is more than I can say for KISS.

>game came out in 2000
I'm pretty sure Kiss had been irrelevant for a good 20+ years at that point.

They had a bit of a nostalgia based resurgence after they reunited in the mid 90s and put the makeup back on, new comic books and action figures and everything

Oh, and a cd

A fairly solid game, I expected worse when I decided to check it out. Lies kind of in between Quake 1 and Serious Sam. I like Quake and hate Serious Sam, and I quite enjoyed this. It's based on a comic book (which features characters that loosely look like band members), rather than on the band directly. What I mean is, apart from several song samples, there's nothing Kiss- or music-related in it. Instead there's this grim-fantasy-circus style, with occasional surreal level design. The engine (early LithTech) was not exactly state-of-the-art in 2000, so expect 1998-tier graphics in it.

Wew, I got an iso from some freeware site and it's in my backlog.

It looks like a fun play because of the style but aside from that, eh. I did really enjoy Undying. But playing NOLF and it seems like some faggot "twitch" game so I don't intend to finish that one and go on to the sequel.

>serious sam clone

Psycho Circus came out first and was more or less the precursor to those "quantity over quality" shooters.

It's actually full of little references everywhere but done in the best way possible by not being too in your face (well, outside of the band member portraits in one of the levels).
There's an enemy called Strutter, a collectible in the form of a Black Diamond, train stations named after the band members (including former ones like Eric Carr), in the earth realm, one of your goals is to find a method of transportation which turns out to be a Deuce, etc.
