/vr/, what are some good girlfriend-ready co-op games for PS1 and older?

To give you a frame of reference for what I'm looking for, Kirby is "too boring" and Gunstar Heroes is "too hard". Those are my go-to co-op games anyway and it'd be nice to play something that's new to me as well.

Toypop is a great game in co-op, if not a bit hard. Also the arcade version of Alex Kidd: The Lost Stars is fun with co-op... While not co-op puyo puyo is also a great two player game.

I have no PS1 recommendations, but my wife loved playing together Mario Kart 64, the DKC trilogy, the SM 1 and 3 remake on the SNES and Diablo 2.

Sunset Riders is probably "medium" difficulty in terms of actual difficulty, it gets significantly harder in second cycle.

I dunno, check out Spinmaster for the Neo-Geo or something? It's pretty damn casual.

You should probably be looking at Arcade games because they're largely short romps that you can get through pretty easily.

You can try out stuff that's more "casual|" like Puzzle Bobble or Magical Drop since even Normies can easily understand each other.

Other than that I guess you could do:

Check out Bishi Bashi Special 3, OP.

Three, not the second one nor the first. It features all of the previous mini games, even polished.

It's a hilarious Party game, but it's a Versus, not Co-Op.

The game is Japanese, but you can use online FAQs to guide you trhough the menu, even without it's pretty easy to figure out.
