Git gud you fucking plebs. If you actually play the game for awhile the additions become easy and they alone make the gameplay/combat way better than FFVII

Its a JRPG. FFVII had a ridiculously complex story.

Legend of Dragoon was a great game. The atmosphere and scenery were too notch and the addition system shook things up from the basic "press circle to attack". Ill give you the fact that the characters are a little bland and the graphics could be better but people shit on this game FAR too often. I personally think its up there as one of the best RPGs of the generation.

Im not saying LoD is better than FFVII either. Both have their strong points. People use FFVII a lot when talking about this game though and I think the whole reason it was shit on so much was because people viewed it as a shittier version of FFVII. The person who reviewed the game on Gamespot had NO idea what the fuck he was talking about. Worst review on a video game I've ever seen. He even spells the character's names wrong.

Someone posted a picture of the review from PSEXtreme. The "Gold X Award" was given to any game over a 90%. And yes, that quote is real, but PSExtreme was notably generous with all of their reviews, so that doesn't mean a lot.

The EGM quote, however, is fake. They gave the game a very poor review.
