After playing Danganronpa and 999, I wanted something retro and I found pic related to be fantranslated.

It's a pretty comfy game, the characters are cool, you can roam the city at night and have some turn-based battles. But it feels somewhat repetitive at times..

Has anybody played this game or other similars? Retro visual novels thread

The game is Bloody Bride - Imadoki no Vampire btw...

There's a fan translation of this game and the rest of the (not retro) series. Written and planned by the same guy who did the Zero Escape series.

I know moon but I'm too impatient for visual novels or dating sims nowadays.

Played it - ended with the girl right below the green haired one.

Didn't grab me enough for multiple playthroughs though and I don't think I ever figured out how to complete some of the sub-girls.

They are surprisingly long. I know P3P is not a VN but every game that has that weekly schedule that involves school life takes forever.

I did, for glorious 90's waifus.

>But it feels somewhat repetitive at times
The game really becomes heavy after the beach event, it becomes pretty much the usual grind for stats/rape minor female character/go date with girl of choice.

But hey, at least you can lift.

OP here, i havent met Karen yet. But the green haired one just screams "fuck me, anon, im right here!".

Im hitting on the light-pink haired girl. Only targetting one girl makes you feel like a total stalker...

Not him, but eh, there's kind of a twist about that.

I feel a bit sorry for green because she really does want you to be her husbando, but IIRC she has those silly hair antenna so I didn't find her attractive.

Oh hey, feel free to spoil me (not the OP) because I'm probably not going to go back to that game.

I know what you mean, kind of like when I was playing Tokimeki. Takes so long to clear one girl that you don't feel like clearing the rest.

Well her name is Lillicca...

Beside, if danganronpa 1 has taught me anything, it's that
girls that chase you, will screw you up big time
.

Well, she does want you to fuck her, but mostly because she's there as part of a political agenda for the families of the underworld, though she still does feel some genuine sort of love for the MC.

As you might imagine it all kind of works out in the end though, it's not a bad route, but I guess a lot of people would be put off once her main plotline starts kicking in because she looks like a tool and a bit of a slut, at least, if you're that kind of guy who's all mad about muh pure waifu and shit, and at that point you might as well go for Red.

Also, she always put me a bit off because she vaguely looks like Midnight Bliss Jedah.

Huh, I kind of see it now.

I'm sure that's someone fetish though.

In retrospect, it's kind of bizarre that someone translated a completely obscure Dating Sim out of nowhere when we don't even have Tokimeki Memorial

Yeah. mine for instance
But eh, I've long come to term with that.

You'd be surprised to see how many mainstream games were ignored in favour of literal whos, this is no exception, though I kind of enjoyed anyway, so it's all right.

Tokimemo never really managed to catch my interest, and honestly, Vampire Bride is one of the few VNs I've ever "played". mostly because of the girls' designs.

It does seem to me like VNs are the one genre where fan-translators tend to go for either "perceived best ones" or "associated with a famous name"

And fair enough, I enjoyed BB when I played it back in the days.

Tokimemo's girls seem rather bland by today's standards but I do think they have the best gameplay - a lot of stat management games don't seem to capture the fun of Tokimemo for some reason.

Pic is something I think where the heroines aged pretty well.

Bloody Bridge is legit awesome but I never finished it. I stopped at the final(?) dungeon.

Great characters. The rich kid (the rival) is funny as hell.

Yeah, that certainly seems to be the norm, then again, it all depends on the translators.

>Pic is something I think where the heroines aged pretty well.

Well, Sakura Wars was more of a game than the average VN though, and 90's Fujishima made some top tier waifu designs, so can't really argue with such excellent taste my man.

>The rich kid (the rival) is funny as hell.
>mfw he turns out to be a vampire hunter
>mfw he's actually serious

Really couldn't take him seriously after that, though it really adds to his smartass, rich kid personality.
