Great game with terrible marketing. Also was Rare middlefinger to Nintendo dont giving a shit about them. And on top of that, emulating it is a pain in the ass.

Played the shit out of it when it first came out, my brother and I must have rented it about 15 times. Finally bought a copy just recently since a friend of mine was selling off his games and cut me a decent deal on it, tried playing the multiplayer with another friend and it has not aged well at all. Stuff like the beach invasion which was so fun as a kid is now just frustrating, mostly due to controls. Haven't tried single player yet, hoping it's held up better.

The definition of overhyped

It's humour is derives from scat jokes and bad movie references that aren't funny. The gratuitous violence doesn't really add anything. The meaning of subtlety is lost on this game.

Heck even BK had better humour especially Gruntys party trick one.

Probably one of the best looking N64 games out there.

I still like the multiplayer stuff even though some other anon said that the controls made it hard. Beach parody and dino run are my favorites.

These fucking devs though...putting in a money easter egg that you couldn't fucking reach in the tutorial levels just to fuck with you

It's overrated. It has good graphics and music, but the controls are horrible and the level design sucks.
Do yourself a favor and play Banjo-Kazooie, instead.
