Question time /vr/, How often do you rest in the Infinity Engine games?

Whemever my whole party is low on HP with most of my spells used up

>> No.3171918

Never.

Once the spellcasters run out of spells they get the fuck out of the party

When everyone starts to get tired and not before that or you are a cheating fagot.

Allt he time. It's not real D&D, it's a video game. I am using the game mechanics as intended.

After every battle. What's so urgent that I need to risk my life and the lives of my party members to complete the quest?

>> No.3174094

As little as possible. I stretch my party until they absolutely can't go any further, or until they find a tavern.

this, I do the same

>> No.3175198

Whenever you rest you have to spend 5 minutes of real-life time doing nothing per spell level memorized in order to satisfy the rules of AD&D or you're not doing it right. Memorize a 9th-level spell? That's 45 minutes you have to stare at a wall.

this was always my biggest problem is that bg wasn't balanced very well

if I remember though in iwd you couldn't rest in the wilderness, so you had to pace yourself

at first I would abuse the shit out of resting.

after the years I try not to rest until I reach a safe place or if the entire party is fatigued.
seems more fun imo
