ITT: What retro game(s) did you play today?

Everyone share what they are playing, how far you are, what you last did, etc; you can even write a little review (doesn't have to be extensive) of the current game(s) you're playing. Also, try to keep spoilers to a minimum.

I'll start:

Quest 64: started my trek through the Blue Cave after visiting Larapool for the second time. I'm really enjoying the tune in this cavern

Dragon Valor: playing as Anna at the moment; was fighting one of the Dragon leaders, but the game froze so I'll have to redo that part again.

Nothing today,I am up since 6am and now is 11pm I had stuff to do.
But yesterday I finished pic related, took me 16h total.
I played it vanilla and got what I want.It was fun up to 12h and then the difficulty ramped up or so I though because I didn't know there was afterburner button. Also I am glad that scripted games are thing of the past holy shit it was unbearable at one point, not having clear objectives was also shit.
I will probably put as much hours in trading and building Class 10 ship and 1mil credits. If anyone is up for a space adventures this is a good game.

Robotron 2084 on the 7800.
Now I have to find a way to hold two controllers at the same time

I played some Metal Max Returns, a great little JRPG with a pretty good translation patch. I'm really sweating it out trying not to look up a guide, because sometimes it's hard to tell whether I'm supposed to figure something out, or if it's something I was supposed to read in the manual (which I of course can't really do).

Got stuck trying to beat the muscle freak bounty so I'm just moving on for now.

Got to Venice Beach, did some of the easy goals so next time I play I've got to do all the hard ones. I'm not very good at it for some reason, I guess it's just that I can't abuse certain tricks for EZ high scores like THPS4

Playing the DC version

I died several times on a bit in DKC. World 2, 2nd to last level, I kept getting hit by the coconut throwing bird assholes. They're like an even worse hammer bros because sometimes they're up high enough you can't see the projectile until it's falling down really fast.

Not the game's fault your twiggy little arms couldn't hold the weapon. Re-using bosses...fuck man, last I checked that was a staple for retro games.
You got a right to your opinion, but fuck if that's not a new level of stupid opinion.

Perfect Dark, and MOO2. PD I'm trying to beat on Perfect Agent, and MOO2 I'm just dicking around on with the einstein cheat.

I've been playing Flashback which I can't believe I left for this long. Even more than Prince of Persia, it's like playing Tomb Raider in 2D. Having a blast with it.

One of my HDDs died, unfortunately it was the one with all my roms, images and complete MAME set.

So I finished downloading the MAME set, and a few of the CHDs because lets face it 95% of them don't work. So while everything else has been downloading I've been playing the shit out of Lady Bug.

I've been playing some Civ II these last days. I'm having a lot more fun than expected, despite me usually not liking games that don't give me clear goals.

I remember playing it on a famiclone as a kid only to find out that most likely it was a hack.
It was very difficult for me and I haven't touched it since.
