Is there ever going to be a successor to this thing?
What would you like to see improved? personally,

I run the latest firmware with firebrandx profiles at 1080p and the scanlines are pretty damn good actually.

Need to try a game that switches from 240 to 480 but I read its a lot better than before? and depends on the tv/monitor as well.

I would prefer to see a clone of the framemeister, because $300 for a little box that scales 240p to 1080p is a bit much. the DVD0 boxes work pretty well, they just need better support for 240p rather than just focusing on 480i content.
