Why are you even using gif over webm? gif has its uses for retro games due to their limited palettes but you're clearly not using lossless images as a basis so you're just blowing the filesize up.

well then we just need to wait for 32core 20GHz cpus and emulate an ibmpc from the 2020's and parse each video frame from the VM into 32 pieces and cuncurently apply some filter and display it

he just hit the screenshot hotkey sequentially for a few seconds, and applied the filters to each frame in whatever editor.

if OP had at least set some sort of automatic screenshot, with emulation running just slow to give the computer time to save 1 in each 2 frames on a ramdisk, and run a batch on the image editor, he could easily produce some minute long scenes that we would even consider to perhaps really be from a real-time filter...

gifv is just a containet / text descriptor for gif/webm and (other formats?), its like an ASF for wmv videos

imgur converts uploaded gif that are longer than X frames into webm automatically and you just add .webm dunno why they insist on this gifv stupid container
