What is the best /vr/ game of all time in your opinion?

Be as subjective as you'd like.

EASILY Donkey Kong, Pac Man, or Super Mario World.

Games with extremely technical and deliberate inputs that have allowed them to be dissected and played for decades with more enjoyment to come without new content.

EarthBound and Half Life are two of my favorite games of all time. I realize they're both somewhat polarizing on this board but I love both of them to death.

>> No.3145802

Probably Doom considering there's always a thread about it here.

Cairo Shootout because it's what I'm playing right now.

We had a poll and /vr/ universally decided its favorite game was Ecco the Dolphin for Genesis.

Top dawg - ALttP as it just does everything that I could ever ask from a game perfectly and is the first game I bought with my own $$$ and beat without any help at all.

Runner up - FFIX as it draws me into its universe more than anything I've ever played. When I play it, I have dreams as though I live in that world.

Honorable mentions - DKC2, because of nights with friends multiplaying for hours on end.

Just my opinion.

Bucky O Hare on NES. Difficult but fair challenge, although there are some obvious tricks thrown in on purpose to fuck with you, which are quite funny once you bypass them. Music also rocks

Mega Man 1-4 as well for the killer soundtracks

Unreal. Last true retro FPS

leveldesign is still abstract enough to allow levelmaker enough freedom, but at the same time it allows to make locations "realistic" in a sense so you know what was supposed to be what, and a village indeed looks like a village, and a reactor room looks like reactor room.
