Atari 2600 appreciation thread.

Recent pickups? What games are you playing? What are your high scores? Favorite model?

>tfw you play Atari 2600 games because you're too lazy to set up the arcade versions on MAME

hi guys

Sadly my Light Sixer is gathering duat and waiting for me to fix it - there's something fucky on the chroma output but since the only game I got for it is Combat i've been putting it off since college/work is eating most of my time. I'm playing a lot of Berzerk however! That game is so good.

>that price
and those controllers are from the Atari flashback ones. The original Atari controllers dont have Atari logo

What got me was the fact that they labeled it as a Heavy Sixer when it obviously isn't in addition to the fact that even if it was a Heavy Sixer, with the controllers, the paddle and the three games it would all probably be around $200. Since it's a later model I wouldn't pay more than $80 for the whole thing.

I like the pitfall games, also river raid and H.E.R.O, and plaque attack are fun... Theres a lot more but i cant remember off the top of my head. I also really like the sort of graphics most atari games had. I like how simple it is.

Recently picked up a PAL Vader for $50.
No scratches or marks on the case at all.
Switches all in good order.
Power socket needed replacing, had a NOS part laying around.

Controllers were abused and really badly damaged.

New boards for the controllers and new sticks. As new now.

Next thing to do will be an RGB mod so it will slot in nicely with the other RGB consoles (the RGB mod is effectively also a 50/60 Hz multi-region mod).

Then a Harmony cart so I don't have to buy games.
