I first saw this game when I first came to /vr/ but haven't seen it again since. I start the chain with this photo of three games I own. If you also own one of the three games, you take that game and two different games and snap a new photo. The next anon does the same and so on.

Let's try to not repost the same game like Mario World 30 times.
Also, if you happen to own the uber rare shit like Nintendo World Championship or Magical Chase, don't be a dick and post ONLY that. Try and include at least one other game that other folks might own.

Meh, region doesn't really matter as long as it's the same game. Remakes and ports might be a bit a lot more contentious, but whatever keeps the thread moving I suppose.

I create that first topic.
It was an alright idea but the thread then fizzled out over a time, I think the idea is sound but it needs some tweaking which is why I never tried again.
The few ideas I had were making it 4 or even 5 games, allowing compilations/ports (you could post a compilation for one game and then the next poster could post a game from that compilation afterwards) and allowing other regions among other things.

I can see that. There are certainly points that are so confusing or broken to cause despair over playing it any longer but all-in-all it seems to me to be so ambitious and unique that there is a lot to love too. The password system to levels ensures that you can force your way through such chokeholds and enjoy what there. It certainly comes off as a work of love that just didn't get the polish it needed. I think the head designer still has a dedicated page online in devotion to this work of his.

Nice was not expecting krull to pop up. Have you played it by chance lol? I don't have the manual and I know how these games work; you have to read the manual to understand what and whys but I can't bring myself to find it for krull. I just enjoy the popping from one disjointed event in the movie to the next without any understanding in that game. I can't bring myself to spoil it with possible comprehension lol.

I don't think I have played it actually, last time I bought Atari 2600 games I bought a lot of around 300, and kept 220 or so, Krull included. Have not put in the ffort to play them all. Turns out I also don't have a copy of the manual unfortunately.

Yeah that's not remotely comparable. These are games that people do own. Howbeit rarer or expensive there are plenty of copies of these out there and it's part of the fun. I think the 4 or maybe last 2 posts being valid or some augmentation like that would help make it easier. The trouble is there isn't a lot of traffic and invariably too many games to overlap in such a pool

And many aren't rare or expensive. Krull is hardly worth a dollar and is not uncommon on the atari. Similarly wurm is like 10 bucks complete on ebay. It's just that people don't really have it on radar or like it much.

Atariage has manual scans for pretty much every 2600 game. Certain ones are unplayable without it, Krull being one for sure. Mountain King is the same way. But both those games are fun as hell once you learn how they work, both quite challenging too.

I had the Genesis ver of Alisia Dragoon back as a kid, traded it in the early 00s when I was getting new games for the machine. I regret it ever since.

I have bought the Megadrive version since, though. But it's not the same...

(note that I'm in Europe so the Genesis version popping up here was ten times rarer, and possibly a bootleg)

I know you weren't implying this but it's not like the box and manual are required either and the cart alone still isn't much upon looking.
