So I need help with Chrono Trigger, Google hasn't given me a straight answer
I just finished the Rainbow Shell quest, Melchior is standing by the Shell, and I already got the Sun Stone back from the greedy mayor and put it back in the shrine.
Can I still get Crono's Rainbow Sword or am I just boned?

Yeah, what the other guy said. After getting the sun stone, put it back in the shrine, then go to 2300 AD and go to the sun shrine. You gotta fight a stupid stupid boss, but then you get the fully charged sun stone, which you use to make the rainbow sword.

Those aren't ultimate weapons.

Also every single end game quest revolves around one of the main characters plotwise so it only makes sense that they get their ultimate weapon.

The Rainbow shell is a bit of an anomaly because it's mostly to get armor that's "the best" but is usually not required, because of things like Vigil Hats/Haste Helms and Nova Armor.
