Flippin' Panels. All day er'ry day.

How do you improve your play, once you've mastered the basics, notice the patterns, and have superfast finger speed?

Nobody here likes these games?

what.

I like Panel de Pon but I suck at it so I cannot offer you any advice.

I like PDP but I'm not great at it either dude

I play this game like a violin.

To get good you just keep playing the CPU in vs until you can crush any difficulty in 15 seconds.

Once you get bored with Vs, endless becomes so much more fun. The game really shines in endless because of the great mix of game mechanics, scoring, and oddly enough bugs.

Most techniques you just have to feel out for yourself, but there are a couple that you can teach to others. Do you know what a "sneak" is? Do you know what the best way to build skill chains are?

Get "the eye".
That's the ability to scan the whole stack for potential combos and chains without getting overwhelmed by the amount of blocks.

I don't know the term but I may already be implementing that technique? I'm pretty bad at skill chains in general, though.

Describe it for me, and I can tell you.

>>3058067
I have almost 20 years in this game and I still can't see the whole stack at once. Only where my focus is on :(

When you get bored of Panel de Pon/Tetris Attack, try Pokemon Puzzle League. There's more game modes and the CPU is more challenging to beat.

I remeber renting this as a kid and liking it, thouhh it is a super lazy rreskin to be sure.

Panel de Pon's my favorite game but I'm ass at it.
Threads also don't last very long because there's not much to talk about. I don't think it has a netplay scene like Puyo Puyo does.

Is there any way to play PDP online? That would be fun

>> No.3060120

Only way I know of is SNES netplay.

Dolphin netplay could work, but the Nintendo Puzzle Collection (which includes PDP) hasn't been translated yet.

Nintendo should release a a decent NX one on eshop with online play
The past few installments have been super low budget and shitty

You don't really need a translation for a puzzle game.
