As for your question OP, I honestly don't know but MY son would know since he plays with his a lot so I will ask him after he gets back from basketball practice. Very sharp kid just like his old man. Old consoles are not expensive, its probably soldered to the board, so unless your good with soldering iron and can get a hold of the pins it uses I wouldn't waste your time (probably uses the same pins and the original hardware).
