This game is too short. This is the problem with Super Metroid as well, as soon as you get the most powerful weapons, the game ends.

>> No.2877546

>>2877545
Also the battles are slow. The SNES was capable of more, there could be a tiny bit more strategy in enemies besides just looking at the same techs over and over. I shouldn't be dreading fighting, I should relish fighting.

>>2877545
CT wasn't too short. The flaw CT had was it was too easy, I didn't upgrade my weapons or armor much, just had to get my techs up and each boss was no sweat.

I'm not a graphics fag, I can't tell one filter from another, but what the fuck is up with that picture? This is coming from a guy who thinks SMW2 Yoshi's art sucks. Yeah it looks distinct, distinctly sucky.

It is suppose to be short because they had in mind that some players will replay the game to do different things like not resurrect the main character.

Why can't you just say you don't like it? Why do you have to say it "sucks?" Just to make people mad? Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it "sucks". That's just your opinion. Others may find it amazing.

I'm assuming you're either very young or extremely unintelligent.

You're right, I clicked on that to make it bigger and holy shit what the fuck went wrong there?

It looks like some shitty android port or something, huge mismatch between the sharp text and puke-worthy smudge grafix.

The only parts of this game that were difficult for 10 year old self were magus' castle, parts of the air fortress, that big dino piece of shit in 65mil years bc, and the black omen. If a 10 year old could beat this, its not hard.

I actually like it.
I agree with someone that when you get the ultimate stuff, it becomes a cake walk, but I liked how weird this game was with the time travel and the large amount of endings.

It's biggest problem was definitely the story.

>think of replaying it one day
>turn it on
>LONG, 20 MINUTE UNSKIPPABLE CUTSCENE greets me
>finally get to walk around as not!Goku
>meet blond Bulma and purple Chichi
>more cutscenes
>have to do more plot and story
>more and more and more talking
>finally get to the first real battle with some imps
>first boss is still 20 cutscenes off
>turn the game off

RPGs should've never been story focused to begin with.

Oh yeah? You gotta go through the boring slog of meeting Marle for the first time, every time. And if you try and rush it, you get punished by the fake chancellor with his rape allegations in the kangaroo court. Not to mention that scene where you have to wait for Marle to sloowwwly pick out candy and fruit, because to hell with those guys who actually want to PLAY THE GAME. No, let's play "sit in line and wait for this girl to do nothing" simulator.

If I could've at least been able to skip that entire carnival scene, it wouldn't be so bad. But no, it's one big, glorified, unskippable tutorial that you gotta suffer through every playtrogh, and let me tell you, it kills replayability, and that's not very fitting for a game whose claim to fame is having multiple endings.

I like filters for some games. Supereagle was my standard for years. All i ever saw with scanlines was fucking lines through my games. SOM looks amazing with filters. As does yoshis island. FFVI not so much. Purists are just retarded. Its the same fucking game, to my particular visual preferences. Hell I put HQ filters on Wonderboy 3 for sms. The blobby effect makes it look like a cool cartoony oil painting. I had these games for consoles. Maybe I'm sick of looking at the same old pixellated shit. I like filters and other options for my illegally downloaded games which I have no right to play on the platform they were not intended for. Emulation is sweet.

I just tried it and it took about 7 minutes (and that's knowing what to do to trigger everything). It takes nearly a whole minute to even get control of Crono.

Compare to the opening of FFVII, which puts you in combat before you even name your character.

That's how most games are, though - and RPGs in particular. Usually you get the ultimate weapon by doing some ridiculous sidequest with the most difficult boss in the game, only to find you don't need the weapon anymore.

I just finished Tales of Eternia, and you can actually find the final ship upgrade (so that you can fly around instead of sail) IN the final dungeon. Where am I supposed to fly to?
