Final Fantasy 4 Help

Anons, Need your assistance please

I'm replaying ff4 on the snes and i remember there is a thing with rydia where if you level her up to high before she gets taken by the leviathan she can't learn certain spells/summons

Is this true and what level should i stop at

You shouldn't need to grind at all in that game until you get to the moon at the earliest.

I don't think it'd be possible to level Rydia up to level 60 without killing yourself out of extreme boredom.

It would take DAYS of grinding to do it.

OK true, you need Wall to beat Asura... but you shouldn't need to grind to get it before you fight her.
