Has anyone actually beat this game and won the election? It's just way too easy to nuke the world and get assassinated.

I think I read about how you're supposed to move in your troops very slowly into surrounding cunts of "rogue" nations like Iraq and USSR, and also bribe the fuck of them through foreign aid. Then suddenly attack them with overwhelmingly numbers.

Slowly befriending your enemies , to bring world peace, will only make MURIKAN citizens hate you and impeach you.So there is no way to win peacefully, but nukes is always a bad idea.

I never really figured out what to do in this game, so I just invaded some small third world countries one by one until I got in so much trouble that it was game over.

Sit down for a history lesson, sonny.

A long time ago, moot made /new/ - News. It turned into /stormfront/, so moot deleted it. About a year or so later, moot made /new/ again. Once again, it turned into /stormfront/. Several years later, moot made /pol/ because he realized that the Stormfront garbage just spilled over to other boards and he wanted a containment board for it. It had the opposite effect. /pol/ became /stormfront/ and its garbage spilled over to other boards anyway, and moot realized there was nothing he could do.

When I was a kid I played a game on and off for several months real time and eventually managed to promote so much unrest in Russia they had a revolution and became a capitalist ally. Then did the same with China. Also conquered every rogue nation timed so the battles wouldn't effect my reelections.
That's pretty much winning the game I guess, but then the game doesnt know what to do after that. USSR is always set as the opposing faction even after they becoming a puppet state to the US. So there is no real ending and the structure of play doesn't make much sense after that. Kind of dissatisfying and anti-climatic, but still a must play game from the 90's.
