I like the on-the-fly tactical weapon-switching in Gate more than the pre-stage weapon selection of Lords, but they're both great games.

They are both very good,i like the overall graphical style of LoT better though.

While both games are amazing, I prefer Lords of Thunder, because I think the musics, the design and the gamepaly are even better.

Oh, and I hate the one-hit-kill-back-to-beginning, mainly because of that boss with the 90° lasers. Can't dodge them for shit :(

the consensus is right, both games are great but lords has that little bit of edge on gate just by virtue of being more creative. Gate is definitely one of the best horis on the tg16 though
