Hey /vr/, what is the best default keyboard mapping for a 2D platform game with simple NES-like controls?

for snes,
a = right arrow
b = down arrow
y = left arrow
x = up arrow

These are all ass-backward as fuck. I find the best is arrow keys for movement, z for b, x for a, right shift for select, and enter for start. Alternatively, ctrl for b, and alt for a is good too.

I always use WASD for d-pad, then k for b and l for a. Try it some time

I find the best use of keyboard controls is to navigate your broke ass to ebay and buy a $2 controller god damn
