I completed it with my girlfriend on co-op mode. It was one of the most fun gaming experiences I've ever had. Hunting for all the treasures in Great Cave Offensive was my favorite part.

Super Star's soundtrack is a delight to listen to. It has stellar sound design which makes every punch, slap,kick, and exploded enemy just so satisfying to experience. The so called "gimmick" that people call its 8-games-in-one was ONCE upon a time called "variety." Variety which which delivers something for everybone, be it a charming remake of the original Game Boy Kirby, a campaign that's a constant time-attack mode, fun minigames where you PUNCH THE PLANET IN HALF, or the two crown jewels of the game: Great Cave Offensive and Milky Way Wishes, which showed just how epic a Kirby game could actually be.

I don't tend to like GBA or DS remakes of SNES games for the simple reason that it's not the same resolution, and a fair amount of the horizontal gets cut out.

It's the best Kirby game simply. All the copy abilities and the extra moves they inherit are great. Kirby controls so well and it doesn't feel as slow as the others on the GB, NES and SNES (not that they were bad at all, just slow, I can't stand that part of older Kirby games). The art style, while not as creative and good looking as Dream Land 3 is also pretty great, I was disappointed when I saw it changed on the DS remake. All around it's my favorite and a lot of others favorite Kirby game.

Superstar was nice to play, especially the Great Cave Offensive part.

But I have to admit, Amazing Mirror is still the best IMO. The Metroidvania-style gameplay was so refreshing.

I like it a lot, go beat the Arena with suplex or jet and see if it's fun or not. It's crazy how much damage the Jet throw does. The ability system is simply great. Does it feel like a collection of lesser games stitched together? Yes. But the "gimmicks" only concern stage progression and structure, or maybe goals in a level. The gameplay itself is solid fun, specially with a friend.

I dunno, I might be a little biased but I still think this game is great, I replayed the DS version a couple months ago and I had a lot of fun with it. Must be the 8th time I play it. The extra content feels a bit unnecesary but eh.

The key to plasma is holding R and rotating the fuck out of the control pad. Enemies take damage when they touch you. Then, when the moment is right the fully charged plasma beam is devastating. Rinse and repeat. Try it sometime in the SNES version.

It's decent. Half the games are just minigames but there are a few games that actually play like Kirby, and they're well-designed, especially the treasure-hunting one. It's best with a friend.
